'SQUADRON LEADER MAURICE 'ROY' SKEET' (39800) RAF BOMBER COMMAND 1937-42. It describes the activities of 'The Communications Flight, IRAQ' whilst under his Command as Flight Lieutenant in the Preparation - Conduct and Aftermath of hostilities in the; 'SIEGE AND BATTLE FOR RAF HABBANIYA', MAY, 1941. With transcripts of the Operations Records detailing its activities and co-operation with other UK Forces. Typical Maps and surviving Photograph's are included with a profile of the Valentia Aircraft as used by his Flight together with some Anecdotes from the time; and a contemporary Battle Poem. Also included in particular are extracts from the Operations Records of 'No,158 Squadron' detailing the Aircraft, Crews and Mission Reports for the 'Thousand Bomber Raids' in May and June 1942 on the targets of Cologne and Essen in which Sqn Ldr Skeet took part.
